KeyKegs are being ordered by customers in 55 countries across the globe. Once they have been filled, they are sent to many more countries. Customer numbers, as well as the number of new users, are increasing rapidly. It is important that all those new users know how to operate the KeyKeg system correctly. Lightweight Containers is using a variety of communication channels and resources to ensure that KeyKegs are used correctly throughout the supply chain; from proper filling, storage, and transportation, to how to pour and how to recycle after use.
Lightweight Containers took this approach at the Canadean Beer Strategy Conference in Brussels. Menno Brandsma, Sales Director for North America, gave a presentation on one-time use kegs in practice. This presentation was designed to help manufacturers and distributors avoid the most common pitfalls. These range from incorrect stacking and excessive temperatures, to uncontrolled secondary fermentation. The presentation can be downloaded here.
On www.KeyKeg.com there are several guidance documents and videos for users throughout the supply chain. The technical specifications of KeyKeg are also full of practical information.
